Just Outside of Wadi Rum, Jordan
Today I saw a herd of goats walk by unattended. This may not seem odd in light of the fact that herds of goats (usually attended by shepherds) are extremely common here in the south of Jordan. But here is something people might not know. Each goat here is worth, on average, $250 US. There were (I counted) 50 animals in this herd of goats, for a total value of $12,500. That's $12,500 of 4-hoofed mobile goat (and likely a decent part of someone's wealth) walking around (to who knows where), unattended. I wonder what it would be like if we had to watch our own savings so closely?
Fearless is definitely the answer. Protector is also the trait.
