I'd been hiking most of the day around the rocky, orange pinnacles of stone at Bryce Canyon and nearing the top of a bluff came upon a surreal landscape. Dr. Seuss-like trees were everywhere. Expressive, white stones stretched up to the sky. And a dramatic storm was descending. A single remaining ray of light hit this rock just before the storm overtook me.
If you've never been there, Bryce Canyon offers a spectacular landscape, and boasts one of the clearest skies you'll find anywhere in the U.S. It makes for a brilliant blue backdrop during the day, and a crystal clear palette for stars at night.
You do not like green eggs and ham?
I do not like them, Sam-I-am.
Those rocks are out of some Dr. Seuss book too!

I've been to Bryce Canyon a number of weeks ago and I've got video of a storm over the landscape. it's a nice place to walk with it's interesting rock formation.
That's also a where a chipmunk ran up my shoulder towards my face, startled me and ran back down. It's been almost a decade since I was there.
