A collage of music as currency and beautiful imagery in a supporting role.
Critics railed against this move for a simple and overly sweet plot. Audiences gave it high ratings for being simply beautiful.

I loved this movie for the same reasons you state - the imagery and the music. It was a lovely take on Oliver Twist and certainly worth renting for a rainy weekend.
